Welcome!
This blog won’t be a place where you will be dazzled by my eloquent writing (spoiler alert: I don’t write eloquently… I don’t even like writing) or learn something profound. Hopefully, in expressing what God is teaching me, you will come to desire a real, personal relationship with the God who created you and saves you. If you already have a relationship with Jesus, my prayer is that you will be encouraged and sharpened by my words.
During the fourth watch of the night Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.
But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
“Come,” Jesus said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”
Matthew 14: 25-31
This blog is my attempt to get down out of the boat, trusting Jesus that I can “walk on water” by sharing Him in a way outside my comfort zone. Jesus says, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” May His words encourage you to let go of your fear, look at Him, and step out in faith.
